Dr. Milewski and his team offer a number of cosmetic dental procedures. Whether you are looking to make a small improvement or a major change, we can accommodate your needs.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are thin sheaths of porcelain that fit over the front surface of teeth. This popular cosmetic treatment option can be done as one, minimally invasive treatment option, that will help correct or conceal chips, cracks, stains and uneven spacing between teeth. The porcelain veneer process can typically be completed in two appointments. During your first visit, we will remove a minimal amount of surface tooth enamel. We will then capture impressions that will be used to create your veneer at our lab. We will then place a temporary veneer that protects your prepared teeth until we place your finished veneer.
E-Max Metal Free Restorations
Crowns, bridges, and other restorations are typically used to repair dental damage, but there are some cases where they may also be used to improve the appearance of smiles. For these cases and others, we may recommend high quality, metal free E-Max crowns. Some of the reasons we recommend E-Max and other metal free crown materials include:
- Repair of front-facing teeth
- Cosmetic improvement of flawed teeth
- Restoration for patients who have metal allergies or sensitivities
- Restoration for patients who would like complete their treatment in just one visit to our office
The treatment process itself is not different than any other dental crown material. We’ll prepare your tooth or teeth, capture bite impressions, and place a temporary in one visit. Once we receive the final restorations from our dental lab, you’ll return to exchange the temporary for a custom restoration. For those patients who opt for same day dentistry, your entire dental crown preparation, creation, and placement will be completed in a single appointment.
Direct Bonding
For patients who want to repair or conceal cosmetic flaws in a single day or who have just a few minor signs of wear, direct bonding may offer a faster and more affordable alternative to porcelain veneers. Using the composite resin material utilized in the crafting of fillings, we can fill in small chips, cracks, and gaps in teeth, or use the composite material to conceal staining and other cosmetic flaws. We simply apply a thin coat of composite resin, shape it into position, and use a curing light to harden the tooth-colored material into place.
At-Home Teeth Whitening
As people age, so do their teeth, and with that often comes tooth yellowing and discoloration. If your smile could simply use a whiter and brighter look, we can give you a home teeth whitening kit that comes with custom-fitted trays and professional grade whitening gel. If you are thinking of other cosmetic improvements, such as crowns, porcelain veneers or just replacing old discolored fillings, it may be worth considering whitening your teeth first. Then, any restorations we make for you can be matched to the whitened teeth for an overall result that is great.
